Hideaway Canvas

I'm majorly nesting right now. Unfortunately, and my husband would agree, it's not in a baby productive way. Baby #2 will be here soon and we're far from turning the guest/craft room into Isaac's big boy room. This is one of those not baby important projects.

Here's what I made using:

8x10 canvas (4)
scrapbook paper
craft paint
mod podge

What do you think? For what purpose, you ask? Well.......peek-a-boo! Oh, I've always hated the thermostat being right there, in the middle of the entry way wall. I mean, who thinks to put it in the most inconvenient spot ever? So after much thinking of ideas, and waiting for the right sales and coupons, I'm pretty happy with what turned out.

The instructions are pretty easy:

1. Paint the border of the canvas and some overlapping the top.
   
2. Measure and cut the paper about 1/2 centimeter less than the canvas
3. Glue on using mod podge
4. Finish with coat of mod podge.

• paint: already had
• mod podge: already had
• paper: 2 at .59 and 2 at .99
• canvas: 2 pack on sale for 3.60

PLUS, I had a coupon for 20% off the entire purchase including sale items! So it ended up being only about $8 for this project! And for the husband, that makes this project all the better, even if it's not baby productive.
